Day 1: Bogota - Girardot
5 hours of riding time - 151km/94 miles - mix of paved and unpaved
- Start the day off riding out of Bogota and into the mountains
- Easy offroading through scenic mountain landscapes
- Bring out your swimsuit for a dip in some swimming holes and waterfalls
- Spend the night in Girardot
Day 2: Girardot - Salento
3 hours and 30 minutes of riding time - 169km/105 miles - all paved
- Head over to Salento the gateway to Cocora Valley home of the national tree of Colombia the Quindio wax palm
- Eat delicious spanish tapas for lunch at D'maria in Armenia
- Stay in a hostel located near the main square of Salento
Day 3: Salento - Rest Day (kind of..)
Riding time will be as much or as little as we want! - all unpaved
- Today is our favorite day of the tour! Off-roading with our friend and local guide Alejandro through Cocora Valley! Get up and close with the Wax Palms like few foreign visitors do. Alejandro is a huge motorcycle enthusiast and the very first tour guide ever in Salento.
- All you can drink Tejo at night
- Back in Salento for another night at a hostel
Day 4: Salento - Hotel Termales del Ruiz
3 hour and 30 minutes of riding time - 119km/74 miles - mix of paved and unpaved
- We're heading up to Nevado del Ruiz a huge snow capped Volcano for a night of relaxation
- Lunch in Manizales
- An afternoon of hanging out in Hot Spring pools
- Option to explore Los Nevados National Park
- Stay at Hotel Termales del Ruiz one of the nicest hotels in the country and one of our absolute favorite hotels anywhere!
Day 5: Hotel Termales del Ruiz - Jardin
5 hours and 15 minutes of riding time - 169km/105 miles - mix of paved and unpaved
- Eat breakfast and hit the road for a full day of riding
- Beautifully paved curves in the mountains as we head to Jardin
- Lunch in Rio Sucio
- Stay the night in the middle of the charming town of Jardin
Day 6: Jardin - Medellin
3 hours and 45 minutes of riding time - 145km/90 miles - mix of paved and unpaved
- Breakfast in the town square
- Spend the day riding through the mountains
- Off-roading down an abandoned railroad track to cross the Amaga aquaduct
- End the tour in the neighborhood El Poblado in Medellin
